A bankable, scalable Sustainable Aviation Fuel platform, built in Canada.

Sustaero is developing a repeatable SAF production network using the proprietary Syngas Optimization for Aviation Renewables (SOAR™) process to convert sustainable cellulosic biomass into ASTM-certified SAF. The approach is designed to deliver supply confidence for offtakers and a financeable deployment model for investors.
Offtake-first commercialization • Repeatable site model • Canada-advantaged biomass + low-carbon power
Why Now
Aviation is among the hardest sectors to decarbonize, and pressure to reduce emissions is accelerating. Demand for sustainable aviation fuel is rising faster than supply. Canada is not yet a large scale SAF producer, despite being uniquely positioned to lead with biomass, low-carbon power, and industrial infrastructure.

What Is SAF?
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is jet fuel. It is kerosene, the same molecule in conventional jet fuel (Jet-A/Jet-A1), only made from sustainable feedstocks. It is a low-carbon drop-in replacement for fossil fuels, already working in today’s aircraft and fuel systems.
- Drop-in compatible: Used through existing aviation fuel infrastructure.
- Lower lifecycle emissions: Materially reduces lifecycle GHG emissions versus conventional jet fuel.
- Certified and auditable: Produced under recognized fuel specifications (ASTM D7566); sustainability attributes supported by documentation.
- Scaling global adoption: Airlines, airports, and governments are increasing SAF commitments, though supply remains constrained.

What SUSTAERO Does
- Produce SAF from sustainable cellulosic biomass (drop-in jet fuel).
- Deploy standardized plants designed for replication across multiple Canadian sites.
- Deliver supply confidence through long-term contracting and practical logistics to airport fuel facilities.
Why SUSTAERO?

Bankable by Design
Integrates fully scaled, proven technology into a standardized plant model engineered for financeability.
Security of Supply
Uses readily available cellulosic feedstocks that avoid the food value chain and support resilient sourcing.
Canada Advantage
Biomass availability, low-carbon electricity, and industrial infrastructure to scale SAF competitively.
How It Works
SOAR™ converts sustainable biomass into SAF through a proven syngas-to-liquids pathway, optimized for repeatable plant deployment.

- Sustainable biomass feedstock
- Gasification into syngas
- Syngas optimization and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis
- Upgrading to SAF
- Delivery to airport fuel facilities
Built For Key Stakeholders
- Investors: a bankable, repeatable SAF platform with clear de-risking milestones
- Offtakers & airports: supply confidence, certification alignment, and delivery practicality
- Government & communities: Canadian industrial growth, rural/Indigenous opportunity, and sustainability integrity
